Georgia Teen Work program

(Inspired by the famous US counterpart – Georgia Teen Work )

Georgia Teen Work is a program originally started by Georgia (USA) state’s Department of Human services to assist teens in the age group 16-17 years to get a part time job and earn valuable experience as well as some pocket money!

What’s in store for Indian teens:

1. Program is aimed providing part time work opportunities for youth in the age group 16-19 years

2. Teens can choose work opportunities from a variety of industries like Healthcare, Trasportation, Retail, Manufacturing e.t.c to suit their interest

3. Work opportunities are currently available only in major Indian metros

4. Permission from parent/guardian is mandatory before even exploring opportunities

HealthCare:

Primarily focussing on the healthcare enterprises (small and medium sized), we offer teen jobs primarily include assisting healthcare professionals in their own establishments. E.G: Dentists, Hair/skin specialists, surgeons e.t.c. Currently, a few Dermatologists in Hyderabad, a handful of Dentists and some hair transplant clinics in Hyderabad are offering part-time jobs via this program.

Transportation:

Georgia Teen Work program for Indian youth offers Teens from Hyderabad, Bangalore, chennai, Mysore, coimbatore and Pune to take part in Various moving company related jobs. Marketing activities and business operation activities for small and medium transportation firms that will help teens to get a fair understanding of the market.

Retail:

Currently we have only one sponsor in Retail category – ArbaPos – a retail Point of sale/POS software vendor. Job profile will include marketing and business operations.
